Sphere Las Vegas just landed a major act for 2027. John Mayer will headline his own six-night residency in April, bringing together his solo work, full band, and the John Mayer Trio—all in one night. Sphere Entertainment Co. confirmed the dates: April 8, 10, 11, 15, 17, and 18. That puts Mayer right in the heart of the Strip’s live music scene.
This isn’t a typical residency. Mayer’s show, “Solo. Full Band. Trio. Live at Sphere Las Vegas,” will jump between acoustic sets, full-band numbers, and a reunion with the John Mayer Trio. Bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan join Mayer for the trio segment. Fans get all three sides of Mayer’s career in a single show. What to expect at Sphere
Each night, Mayer will move from solo acoustic and piano songs to electric guitar and full-band arrangements. The John Mayer Trio segment brings back the blues-rock group last heard on the 2008 live album “Where the Light Is: John Mayer Live in Los Angeles.” Mayer, Palladino, and Jordan have played together since then, but this is their first official return to a big Las Vegas stage.
