The Rio Hotel & Casino is bringing back its Rio Round-Up for National Finals Rodeo week, offering ten nights of free watch parties, live music, and western-themed fun from December 3 to 12.
Country fans and rodeo regulars will have a place to gather this December as the Rio Hotel & Casino brings back its Rio Round-Up event. For ten nights, from December 3 through December 12, the Rio Event Stage inside Masquerade Village will turn into a lively spot for rodeo watch parties and country music. KSNV News 3 Las Vegas reports that the event lines up with the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo 2026, which runs the same dates at the Thomas & Mack Center.
The Rio Round-Up will feature a full 10-night live music lineup, including performances by Alex Key, Matt Farris, Kristen Merlin, Gunnar Latham, Gage Gardiner, The Martin Boys, and Neon Prophets.
What to expect at Rio Round-Up
The Rio Round-Up is more than just a place to watch the rodeo. Each night brings live country music and a full slate of western-themed activities to keep the crowd going. Sponsor giveaways and interactive games are set up to pull guests into the action. Matt Merritt, the World Champion Rodeo Clown, returns as host, leading the nightly lineup with his mix of audience participation and comedy. KSNV News 3 Las Vegas notes that after the main music acts, DJ Du will take over on December 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9, while Rodeo Rockstar Redstreak Revival will close out the night on December 5, 6, 10, 11, and 12.
To make the event even more accessible, Rio will offer a complimentary daily shuttle service to and from the NFR venue throughout the 10-day period. This initiative is designed to help guests easily travel between the Rio and the Thomas & Mack Center, where the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is being held.
Schedule and visitor details
The Rio Round-Up schedule matches the National Finals Rodeo, giving fans a spot to catch every night of the action. Festivities start at 4 p.m. and run late, so guests can enjoy both the lead-up and the after-party. With free admission, the Rio Round-Up stands out as an easy option for rodeo fans who want a lively group setting off the Strip. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority confirms the event is in step with the official NFR schedule.
Anyone can attend, but crowds are expected to swell in the evenings, especially on weekends when rodeo fever peaks. The Masquerade Village location makes it easy for both hotel guests and visitors from around Las Vegas to join in.
Entertainment and Las Vegas event strategy
By bringing back the Rio Round-Up, the Rio Hotel & Casino is betting on event-driven entertainment to pull in both locals and out-of-towners during one of the city’s busiest sports stretches. The mix of live music, themed games, and a host who knows how to work a crowd turns the event into more than just a watch party. It’s a nightly celebration of rodeo culture, right in the heart of Las Vegas.
Las Vegas resorts keep raising the bar during major event weeks, rolling out immersive, themed experiences that go beyond the main ticketed shows. The Rio Round-Up’s free entry and hands-on programming are set to draw a wide range of rodeo fans, making the property a go-to spot during National Finals Rodeo week. With every big event, Las Vegas venues look for ways to start new traditions, and the Rio’s push for the Round-Up shows it knows what keeps the city’s entertainment scene moving.
