DD’s Discount is set to open a new location at Charleston Plaza on E Charleston Blvd in Central East Las Vegas, joining Albertsons, Ross Dress for Less, and other retailers later this year. The opening date has not yet been announced

DD’s Discount, the off-price retail chain operated by Ross Stores, is preparing to expand its Las Vegas Valley presence with a new store at Charleston Plaza in Central East Las Vegas. The upcoming location will be situated at 1812 E Charleston Blvd, near the intersection of E. Charleston Blvd. and Bruce St., between Eastern Ave. and Maryland Pkwy.

The new DD’s Discount will join a lineup of established retailers in the shopping center, including Albertsons grocery store, Ross Dress for Less, Dollar Tree, and Del Taco. While the company has not yet confirmed an exact opening date, the store is anticipated to launch later this year, according to a City of Las Vegas permit filing.

What Shoppers Can Expect

DD’s Discount specializes in offering clothing, accessories, footwear, and home goods at prices typically 20% to 70% below regular department and discount store rates. The brand, founded in 2004 by Ross Stores to serve moderate-income households, has grown from a handful of California and Southwest locations to more than 350 stores nationwide. The highest concentrations are found in Houston, San Antonio, and Miami, with five to eight locations currently operating in the Las Vegas Valley.

According to the company, DD’s Discount stores are designed for convenience, with new merchandise arriving daily and a streamlined checkout process. The retailer emphasizes value on “the hottest fashions” and “quality home merchandise,” aiming to provide deep discounts for local shoppers.

Charleston Plaza’s Expanding Retail Mix

The addition of DD’s Discount further diversifies the retail offerings at Charleston Plaza, a busy strip center serving Central East Las Vegas. The plaza’s tenant mix already includes grocery, apparel, discount, and quick-service food options, making it a frequent stop for neighborhood residents and commuters.

While DD’s Discount has not released further details about the store’s opening or hiring plans, the company’s executive team, including EVP of Strategy Althea Peng and VP of Operations Dee Blankenship, had not responded to requests for comment as of publication.

Las Vegas Retail Openings Continue

The Las Vegas Valley continues to see new retail and business openings across neighborhoods, reflecting ongoing demand for value-driven shopping and convenience. In a similar trend, other local businesses have recently announced new offerings and promotions, such as the Arizona Charlie’s Toyota Camry Hybrid giveaway at its Boulder and Decatur locations.

DD’s Discount’s new Charleston Plaza store is expected to open later in 2026. Updates on the official opening date and additional details will be provided as they become available.
