Down North Pizza, a Philadelphia-based pizzeria known for its signature pies, will make its Las Vegas debut with a one-night-only pop-up at Maroon, Chef Kwame Onwuachi’s Caribbean steakhouse at Sahara Las Vegas. The event is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, beginning at 4 p.m. in the bar and lounge area of the Strip resort.
This collaboration marks the start of a new culinary series at Maroon, with Onwuachi aiming to create a platform that highlights and uplifts Black chefs from across the country. For the inaugural event, Down North Pizza will serve a limited menu featuring two of its signature pizzas—Lamb Sausage and Margherita—alongside a special pie developed in partnership between Down North Pizza’s Chef Muhammad Abdul-Hadi and Chef Onwuachi.
