Durango Social Club in Spring Valley has introduced an expanded Vietnamese comfort food menu, featuring new appetizers, main dishes, and desserts from Executive Chef Crystina “Mama” Nguyen. Reservations are available Wednesday through Saturday.

Durango Social Club, located at 3655 S. Durango Drive in Spring Valley, has rolled out an expanded Vietnamese comfort food menu under the direction of Chef/Owner Dan Krohmer and Executive Chef Crystina “Mama” Nguyen. The restaurant, which seats 55 guests, now offers a broader selection of appetizers, main courses, and desserts, building on Nguyen’s personal approach to Vietnamese cuisine.

Known for her work at District One Kitchen & Bar in Chinatown Las Vegas, Nguyen brings a focus on traditional preparations, fresh ingredients, and in-house techniques to the menu. The restaurant operates Wednesday through Saturday evenings and accepts both reservations and walk-ins.

Expanded Appetizers and Starters

The new menu features appetizers such as Bánh Bột Lọc ($16), traditional tapioca dumplings with shrimp and pork, steamed in banana leaves and served with scallion oil, crispy baby shrimp, and nước chấm. Bánh Ít Ram ($16) offers soft glutinous rice dumplings with pork, shrimp, and mung bean over a crispy rice cake, topped with scallion oil, shrimp floss, and nước chấm.

Other starters include Sea Snails ($26), whelks simmered in a sake, lemongrass, and Thai basil broth with ginger fish sauce; Hainanese Chicken Skins ($12), crispy chicken skin chips with ginger-scallion dipping sauce; and Chả Giò ($16), crispy fried turkey spring rolls served with lettuce, herbs, pickled vegetables, and nước chấm.

Main Dishes and Daily Specials

Main courses highlight Thit Kho ($28), coconut-braised Duroc pork belly with egg, served with white rice and pickled vegetables, and Cà Ri Vịt ($23), crispy duck breast over thick egg noodles in a yellow coconut curry broth with crispy noodles, pickled red onions, and greens. Additional options include Cơm Gà Roti ($28), five-spice Cornish hen with tomato jasmine rice, cucumber salad, pickled vegetables, and Thai chili chimichurri, and Bò Né ($31), marinated filet with sunny-side-up eggs, chicken liver pâté, blistered tomatoes, pickled vegetables, and a choice of baguette or French fries.

Salad selections feature Mama’s Gỏi ($21), with shrimp, fried tofu, cabbage, herbs, crispy shallots, and roasted peanuts in house vinaigrette, and the Bò Lúc Lắc Salad ($26), with filet, watercress, red onion, and cherry tomatoes. The menu also includes a rotating Vietnamese-inspired soup of the day and catch of the day, along with daily specials that showcase seasonal ingredients.

Desserts and Beverage Program

Dessert offerings include Bánh Café Trứng ($10), a Vietnamese egg coffee pie, and Cafe Sua Da and Mochi Donut ($13), featuring Vietnamese drip coffee over ice served with a mochi donut. The beverage program emphasizes mixology-forward cocktails, a curated wine list, beer, and zero-proof options.

Durango Social Club aims to provide an approachable à la carte dining experience in an intimate setting. The restaurant is open from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
