The Escapement, a new collector-focused watch event, will debut in Las Vegas from February 5–7, 2027, featuring top watchmakers, hands-on workshops, and the inaugural Rubis Awards at T-Mobile Arena and Sphere.

Las Vegas will host the world premiere of The Escapement, a new international watch event designed for collectors and enthusiasts, from February 5 to 7, 2027. Organizers confirmed the three-day gathering will take place at T-Mobile Arena and Sphere Las Vegas, bringing together leading independent watchmakers, collectors, and industry experts for a series of exhibitions, panels, and special programs.

The Escapement will feature confirmed brands such as Greubel Forsey, Romain Gauthier, Biver, Ming, Armin Strom, and Czapek. The event’s programming includes expert panels developed in partnership with the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry, hands-on workshops, and masterclasses. A highlight of the schedule is the inaugural Rubis Awards, an independent program recognizing excellence in contemporary watchmaking.

Event Schedule and Venues

The event opens on February 5 with a VIP party and philanthropic auction at Sphere Las Vegas. On February 6, T-Mobile Arena will host a full day of exhibitions, educational sessions, and a comedy evening. The final day, February 7, will feature additional programming, the Rubis Awards ceremony, and a closing musical performance. This multi-venue approach reflects a growing trend of major events utilizing both T-Mobile Arena and Sphere for large-scale gatherings in Las Vegas.

Programming and Industry Focus

Attendees can expect a mix of industry panels, interactive workshops, and cultural programming, including music and comedy. The Rubis Awards are set to become a new benchmark for independent watchmaking recognition. The event’s educational offerings are developed in collaboration with the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry, aiming to provide both seasoned collectors and newcomers with in-depth insights into horology.

Relocation from Abu Dhabi and Ticket Information

The Escapement was originally scheduled for Abu Dhabi in November, but organizers moved the debut to Las Vegas after extended corporate travel restrictions impacted participating companies. Tickets for the event will be available starting in early September at theEscapement.com.

Las Vegas as a Major Event Destination

The addition of The Escapement to the Las Vegas calendar highlights the city’s continued growth as a destination for high-profile conventions and specialty events. Recent years have seen a surge in unique gatherings at venues like T-Mobile Arena and Sphere, following a pattern similar to other major launches in the city. For example, the opening of new high-limit gaming spaces at downtown properties has also contributed to Las Vegas’s evolving event landscape, as seen when Plaza Hotel & Casino introduced its high-limit slot room to attract a specialized audience.
