LVCVA, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, is the destination marketing and convention organization for Southern Nevada. It promotes Las Vegas tourism, operates the Las Vegas Convention Center and supports convention sales and business-event development for the region. The authority plays a major role in the visitor economy because its marketing, convention infrastructure and destination strategy influence hotel demand, trade-show activity and how Las Vegas competes for large events and travelers.
