Bojangles, the Southern fast-food chain known for Cajun-seasoned fried chicken and made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits, is preparing to open a new restaurant at 3685 W Flamingo Rd in Central West Las Vegas. The location, situated at the intersection of West Flamingo Road and South Valley View Boulevard, will occupy a standalone building directly across from the Rio Hotel & Casino. The site previously housed an Outback Steakhouse, which has since closed.
The new Bojangles is expected to debut this fall, according to a recently filed Clark County permit. The opening will add another option for quick-service dining in a corridor that sees steady traffic from both locals and visitors, especially those heading to or from the Rio and nearby resorts.
Expansion Led by Local Operators
The Las Vegas opening is being developed by LV Foodservice Concepts and Las Vegas Petroleum Restaurant Group, with Jeanette Davis, Senior Vice President of Operations, confirming the plans. The group is responsible for several Bojangles locations in the region and has indicated that further expansion in the Las Vegas Valley is under consideration.
Bojangles’ Chief Development Officer, Jim Cannon, was also contacted for comment, but did not respond by publication time. The company’s website describes Bojangles as a Carolina-born brand focused on Southern chicken, biscuits, and tea, with a commitment to community engagement and hospitality.

The upcoming restaurant will serve Bojangles’ signature menu, including bold Cajun fried chicken, made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits, and traditional Southern sides. The chain’s house-made biscuits and flavorful chicken have built a loyal following since its founding in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1977 by Jack Fulk and Richard Thomas. The name was inspired by the song “Mr. Bojangles,” and the original location opened as a walk-in restaurant with no indoor seating, emphasizing food quality.

Today, the brand operates more than 850 locations nationwide, with at least five in Nevada, all within the Las Vegas Valley. The Flamingo Road restaurant will join a growing roster of Southern-style fast food options in the area.
