The 63rd floor of Mandalay Bay has a new identity as the Vinyl Room, following the closure of the Foundation Room after 26 years. The new lounge, operated by Live Nation Las Vegas, brings a retro-inspired, high-fidelity music experience to one of the Strip’s most recognizable spaces.
Replacing the Foundation Room’s ornate decor, the Vinyl Room draws inspiration from Japanese listening lounges of the 1970s, emphasizing intimate, phone-free environments and premium audio. The venue is designed to celebrate Las Vegas’ deep music history, with walls lined by more than 4,000 records—each connected to artists who have performed in the city.
Retro Design and Premium Sound
The Vinyl Room’s interior features wood accents and exposed brick, creating a warm, nostalgic atmosphere that contrasts with the maximalist style of its predecessor. The panoramic views of the Las Vegas skyline remain a highlight, preserved as a signature element of the space.
Audio quality is central to the experience. The lounge is equipped with MasterSounds Clarity-M speakers, Fulcrum Acoustic reference monitors, and Full Fat Audio amplifiers, aiming to deliver a listening environment that prioritizes clarity over volume.
